In this review of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” (2023), we explore the latest chapter in the epic space adventure series. From the characters to the action sequences, we delve into what makes this film a must-see for Marvel fans and sci-fi enthusiasts alike.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

It is set to be the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The movie is directed by James Gunn, who previously directed the first two films in the series, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 5, 2023.

The movie features an ensemble cast, with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker reprising their roles from previous MCU films. The film also features new cast members, including Sylvester Stallone, who appeared in a cameo role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and newcomers Will Poulter, Ayesha Kaduskar, and Christiana Cinn.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was officially announced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019. The film was initially set to be directed by Gunn, but after some controversial tweets from his past resurfaced, he was fired from the project by Disney in July 2018. However, following a public outcry and the support of the cast, Gunn was reinstated as the director in March 2019.

Plot and Storyline

The plot and storyline of the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are still mostly under wraps, with only a few hints and teases provided by director James Gunn and the cast. However, based on what we know so far, the movie will follow the adventures of the fan-favorite ragtag team of intergalactic misfits as they navigate a new set of challenges and confront their past traumas.

The third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy focuses on the team facing new challenges while trying to rebuild their home. The story is centered around Rocket, but other characters also get closure in their personal journeys. The crew faces unexpected danger and the audience can expect a rollercoaster of emotions before the movie ends. Overall, it promises to be a memorable experience.

One of the main plot points will revolve around Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and his search for meaning and purpose after the death of his close friend and teammate, Groot. This storyline has been teased by Gunn and Cooper in various interviews and social media posts, suggesting that Rocket will take center stage in this final installment of the Guardians trilogy.

Other characters will also have their own subplots and character arcs, including Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), who is set to return as a different version of her character after being killed in the previous movie.

There are also rumors that the movie will feature a new villain, potentially played by Will Poulter, who will challenge the Guardians in unexpected ways. Overall, the plot and storyline of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promise to be action-packed, emotional, and satisfying for fans of the beloved franchise.

The computer-generated imagery (CGI) technology used to create Rocket is amazing and makes him seem almost human-like in his emotions. Bradley Cooper’s voice acting for Rocket is also great. However, the biggest surprise in terms of acting comes from Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord.

His character goes through a lot of changes after Gamora’s death and Pratt does a great job of portraying the different emotions that come with it, like anger and sadness. He also shows how much he’s grown as a leader over the years. It’s one of the best performances by a lead actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans’ best performances.
