NMMS Scholarship is very useful scholarship that is being given by the central government to the students of the secondary education.
NMMS stands for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship . This scholarship comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development .

NMMS SCHEME
According to the recent stats , more than one lakh students have been awarded to the NMMS Scholarship , Those students whose family income is less than Rs 150000 /- are eligible for this scheme.
This scheme is provide in deferent states and union territories.
Under this scholarship students get a reward of Rs 12000/- per annum which may be understood as Rs 1000/- per month.
For this State exams are conducted to figure out the eligible students for the scholarship.
The scholarship is provided on yearly basis tot the student’s who have passed out the VIII class and are perusing the the IX classes
Further more , these scholarship may be renewed as students peruse the higher studies like X,XI and XII

Eligibility Criteria
Not all the students are going to get the scholarship only some who are satisfying the below criteria are eligible to apply for the NMMS Scholarship
The eligibility criteria for the NMMS Scholarship is given below
- Student mus takes up studies in a full time basis.
- Student does not take any job.
- Studetns takes up the approved course
- Students family income must be less than Rs 150000 per annum.
- Studtn must have good character certificatie.

Procedure for Selection of students for NMMS Scholarships
Not all the students are going to get the NMMS Scholarship , But only those who qualify certain criteria and some examination are able to get the benefits if the NMMS scholarship.
Eligibilty Criteria
For the selection og students for the NMMS Scholarships following criteria and procedure are to be followed.
- Each of the state or the union territory first conducts it own test for the selection of students .
- The state level exams is conducted in two parts , namely
- Mental Ability Test
- Scholastic Aptitude test

- Those students who have 55 percentage marks in the Class VII grade examinations will be allowed to appear for the above mentioned state level examinations.

NMMS Scholarship : Result Declaration
After the both test has been conducted by the concerned authorities, then those students who have qualified both Test namely Mental Ability Test and Scholastic Ability Test.
Student must have scored minimum 40% in the above test for getting the NMMS scholarship .
Relaxation is given for SC/ST category : Students of SC/ST category must have score minimum 32% percentage in above test.
For the students of class 8 The minimum qualifying marks are 55% . Relaxation for SC/ST Students is 5%.
NMMS Scholarship 2021-22 Registration Apply Online
Students who have qualifies the eligibility criteria and think themselves that they have well prepared for the exams , then students can apply for the NMMS Scholarship.
The Registration Process for the NMMS Scholarship is given below :
To register for the NMMS Scholarship , follow these steps
Step 1 : Visit the official web portal of the Scholarship .CLICK HERE to visit the Official scholarship portal.
Step2 : Click on the New registration button provided in the top menu bar
Step3 : Clicking on the New Registration button will take you to the new page asking for obeying the policies and Undertaking , Check all the box and click on continue button
Step 4 : On the next webpage opened , students will have to fill al their details like
- Educational Details,
- Bank Details,
- category certificate,
- Family Income details.
Step 5 : after filling all the details as required there , students have have tp to submit all the document . Student must have pdf scanned copy of the documents. The necessary documents for the NMMS Scholarship are
- Last Class Marking Certificate
- Family Income Certificate
- Category Certificate , etc
- After uploading the necessary document , students will be asked to verify the information,.
Step 6 : After verifying all the information, student must click on the submit button. And wait for the approval and exam date .
